The second annual Shots for Shots event, held on June 11 at Rookies Sports Bar and Grill in Incline Village, raised $809 to benefit the Measles Initiative. For each $2 shot that was purchased at the event, the Measles Initiative can provide a measles vaccination for two children in developing countries.
Approximately 100 people participated in the event, which also featured a raffle of great items and music provided by DJs Tommy and El Ryone, who donated their time to entertain at the event.
The event was made possible with support from Incline Spirits & Cigars, Wirtz Beverages and Capital Beverages. Bell Limo provided safe rides home for the participants. Raffle prizes were donated by Porters Tahoe, North Shore Parasail, Northstar-At-Tahoe, Shakespeare Festival, Aramark Lake Tahoe Cruises, Clearwater Day Spa, Lucky 7 Tattoo & Piercing, La Fondue and Mt. Rose Ski Tahoe.
